Dr. Christina Wellner is one of the Top-Rated female chiropractors in the Northern Virginia area. With experience treating over 40,000+ patient visits, she is on a mission to empower individuals to thrive in their lives through wellness and optimal function.

As the owner of Thrive Integrative Health, Dr. Wellner takes pride in serving her community through passion, cutting-edge techniques, and fostering a sense of trust and comfort with her patients.

How Dr. Wellner Started her Chiropractic Career

Dr. Wellner started her career with training police chiefs and first responders around the country on the topic of Alzheimer’s and dementia. Throughout her research and training, she realized how important health, nutrition, and preventative care is for long term success. So, after years of being a trainer, she left the corporate world to pursue her passion, helping people find optimal health so they can live long, and happy lives!

Dr. Wellner is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, one of the best chiropractic schools in the country. Throughout her time, she has won multiple awards, did trainings with police and fire stations, as well as became an advocate of patient-centered care.

Top Female Northern Virginia Chiropractor

Dr. Wellner now has been practicing in the Northern Virginia area for the past 8 years and has worked with CrossFit athletes, previous NFL football players, Hockey players, pre-post operative patients, and patients who have had sciatica, shoulder pain, knee pain, plantar fasciitis, SI joint disfunction, scoliosis, and disc injury.

Dr. Wellner also has a passion for working with pregnant mothers and their families! She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association and is also certified in the Webster technique, a technique that focuses on pregnant mothers in all stages of the pregnancy process.

She has a close connection to many OBGYNs, mid-wives, doulas, orthopedics, neurosurgeons, physical therapists, and other specialist in the area so she can offer the best well-rounded treatment to each of her patients.

Beyond Chiropractic: Professor, Athlete, Mom

Not only has Dr. Wellner been a dedicated chiropractor, she has been an anatomy lab-professor at George Mason University, top trainer and Clinic Director, Palmer College of Chiropractic alumni leader, mentor to dozens of students, as well as she has spoken at numerous corporate events.

When not practicing, she enjoys working out at her CrossFit gym, spinning, researching nutrition and attending wellness events as well as trying new restaurants in the Northern Virginia area. She is also a dedicate wife to Darren, who runs the IT and construction department of the clinic, and is a mother to two very, very active boys, Lucas and August.

Dr. Kate Reiter D.C.

Dr. Kate Reiter's passion for chiropractic began early on, as she has been a lifelong chiropractic patient! Dr. Reiter received her bachelor's in exercise science from the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!), then earned her doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida campus.

During her time in chiropractic school, Dr. Reiter fell in love with treating families. She specializes in pregnancy and pediatric care, but believes chiropractic care is important in all stages of life! Dr. Reiter is a Webster Certified Chiropractor through the ICPA. Dr. Reiter is also a lifelong yogi and received her 200-hour RYT in 2023.

Dr. Reiter is committed to providing quality chiropractic care to help families thrive by offering a safe and supportive environment for all ages. When she is not in the office, Dr. Reiter can be found with her nose in a book, at the gym with her husband, Jack, or snuggled up with their grumpy old Westie, Dylan!

ACUPUNCTURIST

Jessica Cubas L.AC.

Jessica has a multidisciplinary background in healthcare and believes optimal health is best achieved through a holistic approach. She studied at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) and New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) to earn her Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

She started her career with certification training in Massage Therapy and a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. She has worked with patients from all walks of life and finds great purpose in helping others to facilitate their healing. Jessica specializes in working with patients with musculoskeletal injuries, orthopedic issues, and mental health stressors. Her philosophy on health rehabilitation includes having self-efficacy in order to reach objective goals. If your heart and mind lead the way, your body will follow.

Jessica is a committed & lifelong student and feels that everyone has the potential to do incredible things. She is dedicated to practicing yoga, strength training, and meditation to help maintain a healthy lifestyle and regulate peace of mind. She also enjoys traveling abroad and learning about different cultures.

ACUPUNCTURIST

Dr. Dion Blackmon DACHM, L.AC.

Dion completed the Masters/Doctor of Acupuncture program with a Chinese Herbal Medicine specialization at the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine. He is trained to practice evidence-based, integrative medicine that combines the best qualities of both Eastern and Western medicine, in order to holistically improve the health of his patients because there is no such thing as a "one-size-fits-all" remedy in medicine.

He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Forensic Science from George Mason University where he conducted Novel Bacteriophage Genomic Research in conjunction with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
Dion was inspired to practice by Dr. Tu YouYou, a female chemist trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine who won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2015 for extracting artemisinin, an anti-malarial compound from the herb Qinghao (Sweet Wormwood), which has been used for thousands of years in herbal formulas to treat malaria.

After being exposed to this knowledge, Dion decided to walk an alternative path to heal those who may have been overlooked by conventional medicine like himself who has a genetic condition known as Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency (G6PDD) aka Favism, which prevents him from consuming the most common, life-saving medications for his ailments.
Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine has afforded him the ability to live life to the fullest extent and he wants to provide the same relief to others.

Ryan is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner with over 6 years of experience helping clients achieve their fitness and wellness goals. Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, she brings both practical and academic knowledge to her work.

Outside of her studies, Carmen thrives in the great outdoors, whether she’s hiking scenic trails, enjoying nature, or attending concerts with her loved ones. Erin joined our team in December of 2024 as our virtual back office billing specialist. Prior to owning Complete Chiropractic Billing, she was a practice manager of a very busy office in Portland Maine for 11 years before moving to Florida in 2019.

Her tenacity and attention to detail is beyond compare. Erin is very knowledgeable in everything relating to chiropractic and insurance and if she doesn’t have the answer to your questions, she will exhaust all efforts until she finds it. Erin’s true passion is helping people. She has found a way to do so by helping offices understand insurance and how it works. Erin decided the Florida lifestyle wasn’t for her, she has recently re-rooted in Down East Maine living happily ever after with her husband of 25 years and their fur babies!
